This guide explains what Trézór Bŕidge® is, why it matters, and how to use it safely to connect your Trézór™ hardware wallet to browsers and Web3 apps.
Trézór Bŕidge® is a small, secure software bridge that enables your Trézór™ hardware wallet to communicate with web browsers and decentralized apps. It acts as a controlled gateway: the hardware keeps your private keys offline while Trézór Bŕidge® mediates requests from the browser.
Security note: Trézór Bŕidge® facilitates communication but does not and cannot access your recovery seed. The seed remains protected on your Trézór™ device. Never enter your recovery seed on a computer or browser.
When using Trézór Bŕidge®, a DApp transaction appears in the browser, but the final approval must be physically confirmed on your Trézór™ device. This ensures that even if your computer is compromised, the attacker cannot sign transactions without physical access.
// pseudo-flow
// 1. DApp requests signature via browser
// 2. Trézór Bŕidge® forwards request to unlocked Trézór™
// 3. Trézór™ shows details and waits for confirmation
// 4. User confirms; Trézór™ signs and sends signature back via Trézór Bŕidge®

Power users can reduce exposure by running Trézór Bŕidge® only when needed, using separate browser profiles for Web3 activity, and keeping a minimal set of browser extensions installed.
